EU food grade
EU food grade means 'the product is suitable for use in packaged food'. Products that do not come into contact with food before being sold (eg: cookware, tableware, electrical products) must bear the EU food grade mark on the product or packaging.
EU Food Grade Application Procedure
(1) Application letter for application for evaluation or re-evaluation (supplementary information);
(2) The technical information documents include: substance name, characteristics, physical and chemical characteristics, use, approval status of member states or other countries, migration data, residues in packaging materials, microbiological characteristics, toxicological data, etc.;
(3) The applicant's summary data sheet;
(4) Provide 2 copies of CD-ROM with the materials, including all application materials, and 1 copy of each application materials that do not involve confidential content;
Note: It is recommended that companies exporting products to the EU strengthen the awareness of product instruction manuals, and use knife, fork and wine glass and fork with caution. Because these two labels mean that the product can come into contact with any food and be used under any conditions.
