FDA US food grade testing
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration, referred to as FDA, is subordinate to the U.S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare and is responsible for the management of drugs, food, biological products, cosmetics, veterinary drugs, medical devices, and diagnostic supplies across the country.
(1) Introduction to FDA food-grade testing
All utensils, materials, etc. that are in direct contact with food and beverages, or in direct contact with the human tongue, must pass FDA standard testing and certification before they can enter the US market.
1. FDA testing and certification of food packaging materials: paper, plastic film, metal plastic aluminum foil
2. FDA testing and certification of glass ceramic products: all kinds of glass ceramic pots, bowls, plates, spoons, pots, cups, bottles, pots and other products
3. FDA testing and certification of food-grade plastic products: plastic materials that are in contact with food or directly imported, mainly include: nylon, ABS, ACRY, PU, PE, PC, PVC, PP, PR, PET, PO, PS, PSU, POM, PPS, EVA, SAN, SMM, EVA, BS, MEL, COPP, KRAT, ACRY, etc.
4. FDA testing and certification of coating products: paraffin copolymers, PVC coatings, powder coatings, inks, etc., which are coated on food contact surfaces.
5. FDA testing and certification of plumbing hardware products: faucets, water pipes, containers, pump valves, water heaters, etc. in contact with drinking water and tap water
6. FDA testing and certification of rubber resin products
7. FDA testing and certification of sealing materials
8. FDA testing and certification of chemical additives: pigments, preservatives, antioxidants, surfactants, etc.
