Market access requirements
The Kenya Bureau of standards (kebs) began to implement the pre export standard compliance verification plan (PVOC) on September 29, 2005. The products in the PVOC catalogue must obtain the certificate of conformity (COC) before shipment and provide it to the Kenya Customs upon arrival, otherwise they will not be able to enter the country. If there is no COC, kebs may decide to inspect the batch of goods and impose a fine.
Certification mark
PVOC only issues COC compliance certificate without certification mark. The institutional logo of the Kenya Bureau of standards (kebs).
There are three ways to apply for PVOC:
(1) one time customs clearance certificate: Test for 1-2 weeks (if there is ISO9001 certificate, the internal inspection report does not need to be tested), and apply for customs clearance certificate for 3-5 working days. Inspection for half a day.

The COC certificate of method a) is valid for 90 days and is only valid for this batch of goods.

Registration certificate fee: 375usd for 15 models or less, plus 20USD for each model or more. The registration certificate is valid for one year.

The product registration certificate is valid for 1 year, and the product must continue to meet the registration requirements. If the product is modified, the modified product must also be modified accordingly.
