HASBRO is one of the largest toy companies in the world today, with an annual revenue of over 4 billion US dollars. When Hasbro enters the 21st century, it has implemented a balance and deepening of product categories, ranging from classic cardboard games on one end to new high-tech products on the other end. 二、Hasbro Hasbro Supplier Code
Hasbro and its affiliates and subsidiaries (collectively known as Hasbro) are committed to high ethical and business standard commercial operations, while requiring outsourcers, suppliers, and authorized manufacturers to operate in the same manner. Hasbro has always been concerned about quality and work environment issues worldwide, including the United States. We have been committed to improving the working environment for workers involved in the manufacturing of Hasbro toys and game products. In order to enhance customer confidence in products produced by Hasbro, subcontractors, suppliers, or authorized manufacturers, Hasbro requires that the production of products comply with the provisions of this code to ensure that they are not produced in inhumane or exploitative working environments. The implementation of the Global Code of Business Ethics enables Hasbro to ensure that production units involved in the manufacturing of Hasbro products understand and comply with the requirements of this code. All production units must join the plan and comply with the requirements of the code.
Forced labor - Do not use forced labor, prison labor, or contract labor to produce Hasbro's products. Ensure employee employment freedom, including voluntary overtime.
Child labor - The use of child labor is prohibited. Factories producing Hasbro products are not allowed to hire workers under the age of 16 * * or below the age at which compulsory education is completed in the country where they are located (whichever is older).
Working hours and salaries - Production units must comply with all relevant national and local laws and regulations on wages and salaries, or the prevailing industry wage standards (whichever is higher). Workers should be provided with statutory benefits. The normal working hours per week shall not exceed 48 hours, and there must be one day off every seven days. If overtime is required, workers should be paid overtime wages.
Health and Safety - Production units should ensure a healthy and safe working environment for employees, and if dormitories are provided, they should also ensure the health and safety of the dormitories. Hasbro expects production units to enhance employees' health and safety awareness, including firefighting, emergency evacuation, correct use of protective equipment, basic first aid knowledge, and proper handling of hazardous waste.
Abuse/discrimination - Production facilities should respect workers and uphold their due dignity. Employees shall not be abused, nor shall they be punished severely or abnormally; Employees shall not be discriminated against based on race, religion, nationality, political affiliation, sexual orientation, age, or gender during the recruitment and employment process.
Communication principle - Production units should communicate the requirements of this code to employees orally or in writing, and regularly educate employees.
Accepting Benefits - Hasbro cannot tolerate production units not following business ethics or improper business practices, nor can it tolerate production units obtaining competitive advantages by offering bribes, kickbacks, or gifts, gifts, or services.
Environmental Impact - Hasbro is committed to maintaining good environmental programs and practices, encouraging waste reduction and recycling. Production units must comply with all legal requirements related to environmental protection and safe handling of toxic materials. Therefore, Hasbro will seek cooperation with production units that share the same values as us, that is, spare no effort to improve operations to achieve harmony with the environment.
Free Association - Hasbro respects the right of employees to freely choose to join (or not choose) legitimate organizations or unions, and does not engage in illegal interference.
Supervision - Hasbro has the right to regularly inspect the work and living environment of the production unit, including checking production records, wage and working time records, and wage tables, to ensure that the production unit meets the standards. Although Hasbro has the right to terminate business dealings with subcontractors, suppliers, or authorized manufacturers who violate the regulations, Hasbro will strive to work together with the production unit to promptly resolve any issues found during the audit. Hasbro requires the production unit to implement a rectification plan for the problems found during the audit. Failure to address the issues raised in the rectification plan may result in the termination of the business relationship.
Certification - Hasbro requires production units to submit a written statement of commitment to comply with this code.
Compliance with relevant legal requirements - Production units should comply with the requirements of the laws and regulations of their respective countries, as well as the standards of their respective industries. However, if there is a conflict between laws, regulations, industry standards, and this code, the stricter requirements shall prevail.
